ONE MORE BITE

As 2013 comes to a close, we can’t help but reflect on the food trends and food favorites of the past year.

Popcorn, honey and yes, kale, all made a comeback. Who would have thought that something you had to be bribed to eat as a child would turn out to be one of the most popular new snack foods of 2013? Brad’s Raw and Crunchy Kale chips were a big hit this year, as well as the “simply wonderful” Quinn’s Popcorn.

Quinn’s microwaveable popcorn is pure and simple, with only a handful of ingredients. Their Vermont Maple & Sea Salt popcorn was a great topping for our pumpkin soup during the fall.

Speaking of pure, nothing is purer than honey. The bees are a buzz with local Montrose Reserve Honey, produced almost in our own backyard. Savannah Bee has been a favorite, and the newest trend, Manuka Honey, is now on our shelves, all here to add sweetness to the year to come.
