ONE MORE BITE
Fire Up the Grills
Smoke is in the air, along with the savory aromas of sizzling steaks and barbecued chicken. If you're not a talented home cook, you don't have to be intimidated by the grill. At Eddie's, we make grilling a cinch for the "non-cook" and downright convenient for the seasoned cook.
Our Butcher Shop has lots of grill-ready meats, chicken and seafood, already seasoned and marinated to take all the guesswork out of cooking. We have our flavored gourmet burgers seasoned with sweet onion and mozzarella, or bacon and cheddar. Our beef and chicken kabobs are a big hit. Throw them on the grill, then brush them with your favorite sauce during the last seven minutes of cooking. Try basting your kabobs with new Stonewall Kitchen Curried Mango Grill Sauce or Baltimore Barbecue Company's Original Sauce. Another popular grill-ready item is our chicken breasts marinated in Todd's Dirt. Todd's seasoning blend of spices and herbs is the perfect complement for chicken.
Our Seafood Department has marinated swordfish with garlic and herbs and bourbon salmon filets. Try placing these on new Jaccard Pre-Soaked Cedar Planks. The cedar planks impart an indescribable flavor to the fish, and they're so convenient to use. No soaking is necessary, because each plank comes pre-soaked in the package.
Now that you have gained your confidence at the grill, try grilling the unexpected. Grill whole heads of romaine lettuce until just charred. Grill some lemon halves and squeese the lemon over the romaine, then drizzle with Eddie's Caesar Dressing. Or, try a grilled Caprese salad by grilling thick slices of tomatoes layered with grilled halloumi cheese. Finish with a drizzle of new Calivirgin Basil Olive Oil for an extra burst of flavor.
Grilling doesn't get any easier. If you're passionate about grilling and love meats, seafood and veggies right off the grill, come to our annual Grill Fest on Sunday, May 15, from noon to 3 at our Roland Avenue location. Stop by for a taste, and visit with our favorite local vendors. See you there!
